Logo Design Software

As a professional graphic designer for over thirty years, I have tried my share of logo design software. I can tell you right now that most professionals use Adobe Illustrator followed closely by CorelDraw. These software programs are very powerful and can produce both vector and raster file formats. They are also somewhat pricey and can take a lot of time to learn proficiently. Luckily in today’s market there is a good alternative logo design software program for the small business entrepreneur.

Adobe Illustrator
Rating:
Adobe WebsiteAdobe Illustrator is by far the favorite software for professional logo designers. When I first started my business, I used CorelDraw and I really liked it. I found it easy to use and I really didn’t have any complaints except one. Most printers preferred the Illustrator file format and quite a few didn’t even accept the Corel format. Of course I was able to convert the files to .eps but even still their always seemed to be some type of problem producing my projects. Once I switched over to Adobe Illustrator life was just a little bit better.
